I have used
TravelOcity.com several times, but, on Nov. 12, I purchased airfare to Cleveland, OH because of a family emergency. When I returned to NYC, I was informed by Travelocity that some customers
had been double-charged for purchases on Nov. 12; I was one.
Allegedly, refunds were to be processed promptly, and we had to do nothing. When the rebate didnt appear, I began calling. Everytime that I called (8 times total), it was a new promise of refund or a lengthy wait on hold, or both. I emailed member services twice and received no reply. It is now two months later, and I still have not received a refund.
I have filed a complaint with both Consumer Protection and the New York State Attorney Generals office. Today, I received a priority mail reply from Travelocity that my refund was a priority but no check accompanied the letter (which is filled with grammatical errors and definitely needed proofing), and my bank account has also not been credited. I will never use Travelocity again.
