Let me give you guys first the pros of three cars and starting price (ex showroom price of descent levels of equipment):
1) Chevy Cruze (diesel) - vfm(value for money), solid built quality, most powerful diesel sedan, respectable fuel efficiency, excellent fit and finish and braking capability, all-rounded car that appeals to head and heart), lowest spare parts price after maruthi. Starts at rs10.99 lakhs.
2) Toyota corolla(diesel)- ride quality okay, Toyota's reliability, best for chauffeur driven. Starts at rs 12.73 lakhs.
3) Honda civic(petrol) - fast rev-happy engine, stunning design, ride level slightly firm meant driver oriented. Starts at rs 12.49 lakhs.
Now the cons:
1) Chevy cruze (diesel) - back seat ride quality little firm.
2) Toyota corolla(diesel) - over-hyped product(should be two levels lower near etios price(then value for money)), cost of spare parts highest in the segment(like brake pads cost rs 9, 000) wear and tear is little high(brake pads life is maximum 20, 000 kms).
3) Honda civic(petrol) - ground clearance low, low end torque is low.
Verdict - chevy cruze (if for diesel) but if u guys insist petrol vehicle then civic is the choice.
