Harper Lee is a very famous writer. I read this book- to kill a mockingbird.
The title itself explains that it is a sin to kill a mockingbird because it is never obstructing any path of humans, it only provides us with melodiois music. And one should never kill harmless creatures.
The story is about Jem and Scout, who always try to find and explore their lives. They are not strict followers of Rules meant for them, in order to find their own answers. They have a father named Atticus and a maid Cal.
So Atticus is a lawyer and is a great father to the children, they are brought up in a very well manner. There is more focus on a case where a Negro is accused of rape, and how the victim tries to escape the truth, and being the accused as Black, he faces the partial Jury. The book turns out very emotional.
Then there is a story of Boo Radley. Who is a no- nothing msn, and saves the childred from an attack on them.
The book depicts how the society views the Negroes as, and how they are treated. It discloses how victimisation of the blacks occur.
This book is an eye opener.
