One of most unforgettable classics that I have read. This is one deeply moving poignant tale that takes us to the depths of human behavior. At the core of it is a love story but the way the characters have been woven together makes it one of the masterpieces of the modern era.
Story - The story is set in the 1930's in the midst of a great financial turmoil throughout the world. A family's vacation home in Alabama and the characters in the surrounding area become a part of this tale. The theme also deals with topic like rape and racial segregation. It also deals with various emotion and psychological changes in children and adolescents.
Reability and Writing style - One of the most brilliantly written books that I have ever read. The style of writing keeps you gripped to the book till the end. Lee's talent for narration is absolutely brilliant. It awakes a plethora of emotions, from hysterically laughter to downright agony during the course of the novel. It also serves a study of the historical biases and the justice system of the 1930's.
Verdict - This is definitely one of the must have classics in your library.
