I purchased my glasses at TITAN EYE+ Showroom in Shanti Colony, CHENNAI on 10-May-2010. The cost was exhorbitant at INR 13, 262/-. The showroom person was skilled to sell the Ralph Lauren to me with great persuasive skills.
The spectacles was having problem fm the second week of its purchase in terms of the frame not being bendable. I presumed it to some initial hiccups and continue to wear the same. On 3-Jul-2010, which is around 45 days of getting the spec, the edges broke.! The lens fell off and rim was hanging.! I was shocked to see such a poor quality of spectacles suppllied by TITAN EYE+
I went to TITAN EYE+ Shanti Colony, CHENNAI branch the very same day and met the very same sales person and complained. I sounded clear and strong that if this issue is not going to be fixed and that nothing recurs like this again, I would take it very seriously. The sales person only looked helpless and was only ready to give empty promises. He was giving reasons like the sweat had poured into the crevices and that salt had made the frame rigid and that's why it was broken. I was surprised to hear that the spectacles of Ralph Lauren is designed in such a way it can handle the sweat.
The spectacles that I bought from my local Optician had survived my sweat for years and did not budge. I'm also a guy who is more in the A/c environment and not in sweat inducing environment. The excuses only sounded lame for me. The torture did not stop here, it only had started here. The sales person told that he will inform us the very next day about the status. The next day he did not return the call and when we called him, he informed that there was bandh in Bangalore and thereby he did not know the status. He never had the courtesy to call us and inform the status.
We had to keep calling him from then on, and there was not a single instance where he called us to inform the status. At some point in time, he started giving mono-syllable answers and as well accepted the mistakes of TITAN EYE+.
As of today, things are staus quo and are not addressed. I strongly recommend people to shun TITAN EYE+ and never buy their products. You get better products in many local opticians. The premium that TITAN EYE+ charges is very very exhorbitant and it is not worthy paying that money for this poor quality. While bad product quality will eventually show and lead to deterioration of business, this message of mine is to shoo away un-informed persons about TITAN EYE+ bad quality and the turmoil I went through. All this is based on my personal experiece and I now hate TITAN EYE+
