After reading positive reviews about APTDC, we decided to choose it. The main details one can reads from other reviews. I'll tell you about some other points.
After reaching at around 2.45 am at Tirupati, we were given time till 4am to freshen up. The darshan and issue of tickets of Padmavathi Amma Temple will start only from 5am. You will reach at around 4.30 am, so you will have to stand yourself in the queue for about 45 mins(as Suprabatham seva tickets are only 25 nos, and the tickets for the rest(usually Sahasranamarchana) will be provided only after Suprabatham(around 15 mins). Almost all the package tour buses, like KSTDC, SRS, VRL will come at the same time. When we went, APTDC was the first.
The biggest drawback is the majority(almost 90%) will have to wait for about 45mins to 1 hour for the minority who wish to get their heads tonsured. I strongly feel that the time can be utilized for something else, like the important darshan of Varaha Swamy temple, which is just beside the main temple near Swami Pushakarini. The logistics can be worked out even with a single guide.
One advantage of APTDC is the guide himself buys the special darshan tickets of Rs. 300. I read in the KSTDC website that we have to buy the tickets standing in the queue.
You will return back the tickets to the guide, just before the queue, so that he will get the Laddus(2 per ticket). You can even buy extra.
Overall it was a good experience from APTDC.
