I purchased a timeshare in 2000.  We were told that we would be able to stay at 5 star resorts all over the country.  Unfortunatly, my contract was purchased by All Points Accommodations in Seminole, FL.  They tried to book my family at a 3 star resort in the Bahamas.  Besides the pool, there was nothing on site at this resort... sound like fun?  This was not acceptable considering the reason that we purchased our time share was to have the abitlity to stay at 5 star resorts.  I spoke with them in April regarding this July booking. I was assured that there was plenty of time to resell that vacation, I would only be charged a fee for the name transfer.  Surprise....Never heard from them again.  I called throughout the months and was assured that  a CSR would be giving me a call back.... yeah, right.  Well, after recieving another  late notice for our annual service charge I decided to give them one last call and I was furious.  The same man that I spoke with in April actually gave me a call back.... guess it was my comment about getting a lawyer.  In his eyes, it’s all about timing.  If your timing is off, you can’t get into those 5 star resorts - tough luck for you.  It doesn’t  matter what we were sold, we are now bound to their terms (since our original time share was purchased by them).  Let me just say, their terms suck.  Bottom line - No refunds/credits for 3 star resorts that don’t accomodate your family - even though he stated in April that he would try to sell it.  I wouldn’t be surprised if they did resell it and not give me the credit - but that’s just my theory.  In my mind, they stole our hard earned money.  No, we will not be using them ever again and neither should you.  Learn from our mistake and keep your money in your pocket -  All Points Accommidations in Seminole, FL are thieves in my book!
