Fitting LPG Kit to A-star: A Bad Choice ?
Aug 09, 2011 12:53 AM 38832 Views

I had purchased A-star two years back. With the soaring Petrol Prices, I opted for a LOVATO LPG kit  from a local vendor on Sinhgad road. The problems I am facing are.

  1. Every month, I have to tune the engine  otherwise it stops in lower gears.

  2. The worst problem is that it miss-fires like it hits a stone. It makes a very bad and loud sound and car stops suddenly with a risk of an accident.

  3. The mileage is 12-13 till the date.

  4. The pick-up has become very bad just like a 800 CC engine.

  5. The gas leaks and smells as it is fitted in rear( No other space to fit).

  6. I have fitted 60 ltrs tank. Full space is occupied by the cylinder and no space to put even a single bag.

I am really thinking, have I made mistake? Can someone suggest some solution? The technician charged me around 16500 for whole kit with cylinder.

Regards,
