We are facing an issue from the Mr. King Super Cook Company. We are from Mammiyoor, Guruvayoor in Thrissur district of Kerala. We bought Mr. King Super Cook Induction cooker from the same company. The sales person was told they are coming from the company’s sole distributor KMA Agency, Paruthipara, Thrissur who supplies this product all over Kerala state.
The sales man said this induction cooker is not like the other company induction cookers available in market; this induction cooker does not need to be plugged into an electrical line while it is working. They told we must connect this induction cooker to power for 45 minutes everyday for charging to get this induction cooker’s in-built battery fully charged, and then we can use it for whole day without help of connecting it to an electrical line. I mean they convinced us that this special induction cooker will work like a portable emergency lamp and it will consume very less electricity comparing with other induction cookers. They have charged us Rs. 8800/-(Rs. 8500/- for 5 years replacement guaranty+ Rs. 300/- extra for 3 years extended service warranty.) for this ‘special’ induction cooker and they have given us a Pressure cooker and a steel vessel as free gift for full payment in cash.
They were instructed us to charge it fully for 1 hour before using it for first time. After charging this induction cooker for 1 hour as per their instruction we tried to use this induction cooker but it was not working. Without connecting to electricity it was not able to work at all. All our efforts to use this product went vain. Later we realized that it was total cheating as the product they given us was same as other regular induction cookers available in market for Rs. 3000/- price range. We have contacted their customer care number provided during purchase: 04884-323989, 04884-200321, 8943558824, 8129017405 and described the whole event. They said they are customer support people of this company and it may be part of regular sales practices of their sales team and they have nothing to do with it. I’ve told them that I will make a police complaint if they do not refund the excess amount collected from me for this product. They were not responsive to my complaints, they were laughing at me and sad to say sometimes they even said bad words to me. Finally they told me to contact KMA agency address to get refund of the amount.
I personally went to the distributor address provided on the receipt; KMA Agency, Paruthipara, Thrissur. Their office was easy to locate as it was on the main road itself, 1km far from a place called Ottupara and even from outside it was visible that huge quantity of Mr. King Super Cook induction cooker was kept in stock in their office. When I entered to their office I’ve simply enquired them about price of the model Induction cooker which I bought for higher price. The salesman there was an aged person and to my surprise the salesman told that this product will cost Rs. 1800/- for me. Apart from this product I found they are selling several duplicate products such as mixer grinder in the name of popular brand Pigeon, Sujatha etc. I realize that there will be a big racket involved in this unlawful trade and I thought I just wanted to expose it rather than begging them to refund my money. I didn’t ask them about the cheating event I went thru.
I just came back and found this product Mr. King Super Cook was also selling in another shop called “Allannur Green Home Appliances” on the same road. I have enquired with the person there, his contact Ph: 9497316021, 9496347341, 9656454542, I told him that I am a dealer and I want to buy this product in quantity and I need address of this company.
I have collected following Mr. King Super Cook Company address from them. This brand is owned and this entire fraud operation is organised by;
M/s. Shajith Enterprises, K. P House, Viruppakka, Vazhani Post, Pin: 680589, Thrissur Dist, Kerala.
I have enquired with Telecom Company about details of telephone numbers provided along with the purchase and I found these numbers belongs to a person called Mr. Shajith. K. A, he is the owner of this company.
During purchase their salesman ensures me I will get 5 years replacement guaranty and 3 years additional service warranty for Induction cooker and the pressure cooker. But I don’t think these frauds are going to give any after sales support for the product. I was cheated and it is a matter of cheating to several people like this. I am an ordinary person and I want to know how to proceed with legal action against this frauds. Hoping that prompt action in this matter will be taken by your office at the earliest.
