Micheal Chrichton a very good author. He keeps the reader involved in the story till the end. I especially like his fiction stories. He is the famous author of the books like The Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Congo, The Rising Sun, Airframe and many more.

Timeline is a book which is very different from his other fictions. In this book the author has written about a timetravel which we have seen in many comedy movies but nothing like this one. Here he has written about a story where technology plays a major role. The technology that he has described for time travel is mind boggling!!!!!

This book starts with a old man lost in a remote dessert and blabbering something about French monastry and Quantom Foam and is found with something made from ceramic with ITC written on it. Then it is found that he is working at a company called as ITC when is owned by a person named Robert Doniger the bad guy in the book who is a computer tech buff. He has discovered the technology which has chemistry as well as computer technology to time travel. He believes that each moment is a seperate thread by itself and can be revisited through transcription process.

Robert Doniger comes across a group of Historians leaded by a person named Professor Edward Johnson. These historians feel that something is going wrong as they find the glasses of the Prof. during an excavation. Read this book and you will see as to how he sends some members of this team somewhere in the medieval period. What difficulties and struggle they have to face there. ITS JUST AMAZING believe me.

You will be glued to the book until it is finished. I had read this book some 2 years back and the story is still fresh in my mind. It is one of those books which will give you hangover for a longer period of time. Atleast it happened with me. The language of the book brings a real picture in front of your eyes.
