Story:

After a really long time I had the privilege to read a really nice book.I picked up the book from a local library as my sister suggested me to read this. She found the book interesting and realistic hence he thought I might like it too.I picked up the book last weekend and was able to finish it the same day.For someone to finish the book within the same day the book has to be really good and this done definitely did not disappoint me.

The book was basically published back in 1994 and the story is about Joe Roberts first visit to INDIA.He visited south India back in 1990 and the book is about his experience that he experienced .Joe Roberts was staying with a south Indian family by the name of TRIVESDI'S for close to 5 months while he travelled around. The book is a novel but is more like his self written documentary on the places he visited in India and the people he met.The author managed to travel madras, Bangalore, Mysore, Benaras, Ooty, Madhya Pradesh and  Kerala and he met a lot of friends and met a lot of people and he was managed to know them and their habits personally. The author also specified the problem and the struggles a person from abroad faces while travelling in India in terms of the food, language and the culture but he does it interesting as well.

Over all the book is really humorous and a good way to learn about India back in 1990 through the eyes of a foreigner.*
