They story’s set in France , the times when “wine and women” ruled and is partly linked with the then political upswings of France.

A perfect amalgamation of three-four plots and sub-plots and the sudden twists make the book simply . unputdownable !!
It becomes known at the beginning of the book that there is a struggle for power between the King of France and the Cardinal. The plot revolves around this conflict and the constant battles between the Kings royal guard, the musketeers and the Cardinal's guards. The story follows the four friends (D'Artagnan and his three friends, Athos, Porthos and Aramis who are already members of the musketeers)through France and England on countless adventures in an effort to spoil the plans of the Cardinal.
Follow it up with Dumas’ The Man in the Iron Mask and The Count of Monte Cristo.
