This was the first'humour based' book that I have ever bought and I liked it immensely. For those who are expecting high class, polished humour or sarcasm or any humour that comes as part of the story - might be disappointed. In this book, the idea takes a backseat to the humour.
It was supposed to be a guidebook for a boating trip, but I think the author decided mid-way that humour was more important. It has that plain, in your face humour that I have rarely come across in books. This book was more popular amongst the masses than the classes, and I guess that becomes apparent when you read it.
Three friends decide that they are'overworked' and go on a boating trip with a dog'Montmorency' an animal which(the author makes us believe) thinks itself to be equal to them, or even better. For light reading only, must read once.
