Hi, I too was among those who believed a name carries weight. I am from Mumbai and I had booked my holiday from Fort Mumbai and their call center. Not only did I have a horrible holiday, my husband who eats Jain meals suffered horribly throughout the trip. I am short of taking this agency to court. I booked my journey with Thomas Cook with my family and parents to go to Sri Lanka in May 2015. Their call center is a load of rubbish, where people do not understand whats going on to give you the proper guidance.
A day before our trip I went to the Fort office in Mumbai out of frustration for lack of proper information as I had made my payment for the full trip in advance.
They were hardly helpful as the entire staff is new and young and nobody has the ability to do anything about your query or grievance.
When we reached Colombo, my husband was hungry from not being provided any JAin meal after specifying it in the trip itinery.
Rest was ok, we managed somehow with our tour guide who was hired by Thomas Cook, he too complained about the lack of coordination and empathy towards my husband.
Recently, I went to apply for a Singapore Visa with Thomas Cook, they casually lost my passport.
They should shut down t their service immediately if they cannot cater to families or Jains.
