I had booked for a package tour for Europe in the month of march, which cost me around 2.60L p/p(all inclusive of taxes and VISA charges) for 20N/21D. Initial payment of INR 100000 was told to pay and the payment was done . During the month of may I approached them telling when to do the next payment so that I can pay the full amount in advance as the rate of exchange for Euro fluctuates.
There started my Journey with Thomas cook to hell . They are least bothered about your concerns and issues. I had to go to them for next payment details, about the VISA process, the flight details and etc. When ever I asked them they say that the tour operation is not confirmed till 15-20 days before the scheduled travel date. Later at the point of VISA we were told to pay Rs 2000 per person at VISA office .
In spite of being all the VISA charges handled and included in the Itenary we were forced to pay 2000 Rs extra . Apart from that I been approaching them when to make the payment for the remaining amount they told us that they will inform us when the next payment to be done. At last neck moment they come telling that the ROE as per current day I had to Pay Rs 18000 extra which was not told earlier at the time of booking. The delay was from their end I had to pay the amount for the ROE., even when I was ready to pay the whole amount 2 months before.
The representatives are such a hopeless guys there, its only 1 week prior to travel still my Schengan VISA appointment was not still done . My sincere Advice to those who are looking to travel with Thomas cook please dont be fooled by their trick. We choose them as they are among the pioneers but this was my worse experience in my life time. We will be charged for their mistakes . Its not that only I face issues, I have heard lot of complaints from different people after I was cornered by them.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND THINK TWICE WHEN CHOOSING THOMAS COOK!
