Do boating in Pariyar lake, take a guide with you and do enjoy wild animals in openly from boat, sully safe and very enjoyable ride.

This Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best places where you can gets chances to spot an Elephant and other Wild animals like Tigers, gaur at very close quarter and also its safe.

Thekkady Junction is the central part of Periyar Sanctuary where you can find easily any hotel to stay, most of them provide boat rides.

Also you can take Bicycles at rent for exploring this awesome place.

or about 6 kilo meters there are local transport like Bus and Autos or if you are in large group you can hire Jeep too.

Must take binoculars with you, dry snacks, water for drinking, Camera, phone, it will be better to book your tickets in advance for boat riding as experienced.
