Avoid Country vacations without a second thought.
Below is the mail I sent to them.No response.

After reading many reviews on them I can understand their plot.
Also

now I can understand why the senior manager spoke that way abt software engineer.
We tend to do research on products and may be he was not happy with that.

I also saw many fraud cases against them in consumer forum.

To whomsoever concerned....

The end of year 2006 turned out to be very memorable one for us BUT in an
Embarrassing way. All credit goes to Country Vacations (Bangalore) for inviting
us and make us FEEL SO SPECIAL !!! I will surely share these feelings with members
of my fraternity !!!

I was one of the lucky ones to be picked for your complimentary offer. (Unlucky I should say after the episode)
I was offered 1 week package for Goa or Kerla or Srilanka or Indonesia. To discuss the same I was asked to attend a presentation at their office in Commercial street.
The presentation started @ 11 AM 31st december 2006.In the presentation I was told about the special offers for life time memberships at country vacations. The lady explained the advantages of becoming member in a detailed manner.
I should admit that the presentation was very good. I was very much impressed with 10 yrs membership offer which was around 65k.

Then came the worst part of the whole event when the lady introduced me to her senior manager.I was asked to decide whether I am going with the offer or not immediately
without giving any time to think over it. I told the manager that I would go for that offer, once I discuss with one of my friend who holds similar membership.
So I asked for time till end of day to get back to them.

Senior Manager of Country vacations with his nasty voice uttered these words
"I know you software guys...you guys don’t respect ppl from other
profession...even though u ppl give 10 bucks tips to waiter u make fun of
him.....I am not a marketing guy who runs around you with a bag in my
hand.....I am a senior manager here....I too once was a software
engineer....I know, all software engineers have this mentality....I have
worked on c++...I know #include< stdio.h>...blah blah "

I forgot the name of that manager. He kept on saying that he is SENIOR
MANAGER from KERALA !!!

Now , if without any provocation , your so called *SENIOR MANAGER* can make
such unruly statements about our fraternity and talk all this nonsense and
make us feel embarrassed ...why is that I should not report this to tabloids
and see through that  the world knows how we techies are insulted ? ? ?
We get a call , we are not given any time to think on the offer and on top
of this you insult us like this !!! If a company doesn’t know whom it should
make as its representatives ...why should I EVER TRUST in your
advertisements/ you ????? Why should I take an offer from some company which
doesn’t know how to respect other professions !

I don’t know what action you are going to initiate about this incident, but
from MY SIDE ....I HAVE DECIDED TO GIFT YOU ATLEAST a 100 responses from
members of OUR FRATERNITY ( per se your senior manager from kerala -- "you
software guys") and what a time....you get that on NEW YEAR ....Cheers !!!

Without accepting the complimentary gift offer. I left the place ONLY
because of the unjustified arrogance of manager and the insult to software
profession ! We don’t rob , we too toil hard to earn our bread but
we CERTAINLY don’t lure people and then INSULT like you !

On a sidenote,Country Vacations will definitely loose its brand name if
their managers speak and behave with their customers in such a rude
manner.Atleast wake up now and do something positive !!!

And I will a mark a copy to you too when I drop in a mail to our SOFTWARE
Fraternity members !!!
