Country club is doing nothing new than what other customer based companies are doing, take an example of Credit Cards, Loan products, Telecom and Club memberships managed by private companies.
We are in the western world of
"Fine Prints" & (*) signs", I suggest that it is our duties to find the detail of following things
1) Entry and Exit criteria : Specially when you are entering for long term relation we need to know the Entry load (Financial Charges) and exit criteria (Penalities).
2) Service promises : Ask Sales Rep to provide the promises on their Letter head and get it signed by concerned administrative head with Stamp (This will help you to build strong case for comsumer court).
3) Govt Taxes :All the charges publised by companies are solely for attracting people, Check if the price is before tax or not,
The above points i have illustrated in terms of Club membership and solely based on lessons lernt, I have also taken Country Club membership, I dont expect extra brilliant services cause the membership fee is peenut compare to other establised clubs.
