Story:

The readability of this book is good. It is written in simple and lucid English language that can easily be understood. The of this book deals with Jagan, who has only his son and memories of his late wife. Mali has a unique ambition at odd with his father's expectation and ready to leave homeland to to learn the art of novel writting. He comes across revolutionary, returning to India with his woman friend whome he declares to be his wife in initial days but later on truth of non occurance of marriage reavels out.

Jagan's earlier life a revelation of his aggressive spirit. A spirit that does not fear the wall of prison, reiterated in his son's similar stance in concluding part of novel, when he is arrested on account of alcohol found in a car.

The relationship between father and son is hashed, based on mechanical exercise unilatrian expectation from the son by father. Grace, the woman who Mali has supposedly married, is a woman of duty, responsibility and sensibility. She wins Jagan's heart by extreme sweetness and rational temper. This book must read for all fiction lover and malgudi fans.
