A great novel. Review on The Vendor of Sweets - R K Narayan

The vendor of sweets is a English language novel by r k narayan. This is a great novel I ever read.i read four time his novel.

I purchased this novel from  a fair.the story is a character jagan and mali. It revolves around the issue from the generation gap between father and son.Jagan lost his wife in the early then mali without the father permission discontinue his education he goes to america to get training to write a book.but the old man receive every mail and exhibit it to anyone who care to listen after few year mali come with a girl name grace.

Then mali want to start a machine factory with his america friend but jagan is unwilling which cause friction between them. Later mali caught by police for drunkenness. Jagan bought a plane ticket for grace to go for her hometown.the story show the conflict between the generation and ideal gap.

I recommend the vendor of sweet novel to my friends.
