Delia Parr is a very well known author for writing historical romantic books. So after reading one of her books you will definitely like to read more if you are inclined towards this kind of books. So after reading The Ministers Wife of the same author I came across this book.
The promise of flowers is a book which is based on the story of two sisters living in Philadelphia with a greedy controlling father who yearns for his daughters' trust accounts.
The way the elder sister tries to escape the clutches of their father with her younger sister with the help of a man who himself is heart broken is the main plot of the book. The way the characters go through the entire journey is nicely explained. Though the story lags a bit in the middle, but still you will want to read it till the end.
