The Professional Couriers - Only By Name. Review on The Professional Couriers

The Professional couriers after completing nearly twenty three years of long services are claiming as India's one of the top courier company. For sometime agreed, Professional Couriers is a popular courier company in India because it’s cheap and it deliver to almost every corner around India, But being popular and being good are two different things. Any successful courier companies should maintain prompt delivery, reliable, very fast & efficient services at a very reasonable cost.

Most of my friends avoid The Professional Couriers & keep telling me that they do not deliver in time & it is the worst service they have encountered. The manager of TPC is known to me; several times he visited our office & requested to offer their services. After comparing all the courier companies’ tariff I found that they are charging very low. We decided to use the services of the Professional Courier, hoping that the local documents will reach the destination faster than post at lower cost.

Professional courier is doing some good business because their tariff is cheap compared to other couriers and the branch offices are available in every nook and corner. From past few years we are giving all the local orders to the professional couriers. Last week I was shocked to know that the management has hiked the tariffs by fifty percent without any prior information. They were charging ten rupees for local couriers (up to five hundred grams) now from 1st May they are charging fifteen rupees.

I tried to send the TPC officials an email stating the fifty percent hike in tariff without intimation, but none of the email addresses mentioned in their site seems to be working. When I contacted the concerned authorities they are speaking about the rising costs & comparing other courier companies like DTDC, Blue Dart etc. The main reason for choosing TPC is for its low tariff, when they hike fifty percent that to without prior intimations, I think there is no point in continuing their services.

The very purpose of hiking the tariffs without prior intimations is unprofessional and I express my strong objection in this connection. So it is better avoid using TPC services, it is better to give consignment to Indian Postal Department, I know their services are bad but not worst like TPC, at-least they will charge less compare to TPC and will delivery in same time frame.

I will not wrong to say that the TPC management is not committed to satisfy the expectations of the customers through economy, timely and safe delivery of their consignments.

If they want to survive in the courier industry in a cut throat competition era, they should stop comparing the other courier services in tariff related aspects, still if they like to compare then they should compare overall services & standards. They should first try to establish a professional management team and continuous refinement of their services.
