Story:

So this is the first book among the Shiva trilogy. Its a great experience developed by the author Amish Tripathi to portrait shiva as human being just like us.

Meluha is this'so called' perfect empire created by'Lord Ram' has suryavanshi people living there. They were immortals. They had somras to keep it going. They had their sacred saraswati river going to extinct fro which they actually extracted somras . so suryavanshi had this problem and top of it they had their rivals chandravanshi's attack. Rumor had it that the chandravanshi was tying up with Nagas(the evil) and was to attack Meluha .

The myth was that their savior was a Neelakand and they were waiting for his arrival.

meanwhile Shiva was the head of the clan of Gunas and he was force to take all his tribe to move to meluha upon invitation as they were facing so many attacks . Every guest was given a shot at somras and the myth was true and shiva had all the symptoms of becoming the next Neelakand.

Shiva was a very good man who was against all the misconception against people to be slave and he treated everyone equal .

coming to meluha he meets sati, the beautiful, fierce, graceful sati. he instantly falls in love with her .

Shiva tours around the meluha and the sathkund and shocked to know that he is not only the Savior for survayanshis but also chandravanshi.! so the question to the next series is how hes going to solve this problem.

the story keeps to excited, it moves with speed. its a hard story to forget as read again. you will almost forget the characters if you leave it half way their.

you might not feel the kick when you just start with the book, give it a few chapters and then you feel the rush that kick and by the time you notice you might as finish the whole trilogy.

the story is a typical Indian myth with a modernestic twist . language it neat and simple and this is a great book to enjoy. .
