Story:

Hai guys! I know it's too late to review this book, but still I got to read it recently and can't keep my mouth shut! Okay now, to the storyThe story came in three books called as Shiva's trilogy .So the first book in Shiva's trilogy isThe immortals of Meluha By Amish TripathyAbout the author: Amish born in kolkattaA product of IIM and was a banker .Then he just changed his career as a writer which was his passion .However, I read this book in Tamil translated by Pavithra SrinivasanAuthor of Yester Tales, Back to BCs and she had translated ponniyin selvan in english .SoMeluhavin amararhal is the translated version of The immortals of MeluhaTheme of the story: Just .just forget everything about what you had heard so far about the stories of Shiva. The author gave a best try to just pluck all the magical aspects about Shiva and gave logical reasons for everything . Just everythingI loved that idea and intrigued me to read this.Plot: Shiva, a tribal leader in Tibet had been asked to move to Meluha, Since their life is always with insecurities .Nandhi who made Shiv to immigrate with his people.Shiv meets Sati the princess of Meluha and fall for her .Later, He reaches Meluha and find a great advanced city drinking somaras. After drinking their somaras shiva's neck turns blue implies the incarnation of Neelakand. What happenes next is the story .Meluhas referred as suryavamshi'sWere waiting for so many centuries for Neelakand to remove evilness that is chandravamshis according to them. The swadeep is referred as chandravamsi country .Had he succeeded is the remaining storyMuch impressive: I loved so many places which I was completely lost myself1.The cultural shock when Shiva saw the developed country Meluha .With all kind of advanced technologies and medical advancement, the descriptions of Meluha just make you to travel with Shiv.2. The time when Shiv was referred as Neelakand .3. Sati accepting his love4. The after effect of great war .Almost the author had brought all the chatecters in the story line like Nanthi, parvatheshwar, Thakshar, veerabathra etc .Little disappointments: I felt the first half of the book was very slow and draggy.Especially the love sequences of Shiv with Sati. Sati being a vikarma who was not supposed for any good, she avoids Shiv .Then the philosophical classss taken by vasudevs in every temple just examined my patience. But then After the marriage of Shiv and the demolishment of Somaras factory the story got geared up and the chain  incidents moved fast. You just cannot take off your eyes till the end of the war .Surprise factor! The after war incidents came as an unexpected turning point. What you expected to be an end changed as the begining . That was a perfect knot .The begger in front of Sriram temple in Ayodhya was the master piece.Perfect mixture: Making Shiva as a human and bringing his life with all sorts of emotions is not just a simple one .You get to feel love, agony, preplexions, anxieties, sorrow, anger everything in the novel.Only thing I felt was the Tamil translation was not satisfactory .Some descriptions were not up to the level.Shiva speaking some local language is little uneasy to fit with it .Then.Putting some mordern terms like kilometres .oxidisation etc in the mouths of the chatecters who lived 5000 yrs ago is quite mismatching .Otherwise! It is a very good book.I am still roaming in Meluha and Ayodhya . Do give a read friends.
