I think I was in 8th standard, yes exactly 2 months before we started planning for this trip. Actually it is very difficult to decide where to go, after long discussion we think Great escape is great and perfect place for our trip. The decision was taken by mom and dad, with taking care of budget, time, travelling everything which really matter for perfect trip. Initially I was not happy about decision, I want to go Suraj waterpark, which is too far from my house, and little costly for us. That’s why my parents not ready to go there, lastly I have to follow my parent’s decision, I have no choice ….Finally everything is decided including date and month, we decided to go on 12th may.
Finally the day came for which we were waiting for last 2 months. This amusement park is situated in Virar, near Mumbai. For us it is very easy for traveling this is one of the reason why my parent choose this resort. I got strict warning from my dad One day before my dad giving me a strict warning that tomorrow you have to weak up early, we will left our house early around 8:00.Fine I weak up early in the morning, everybody shock abusively because I never weak up early in the morning, and especially in vacation no chance…
Now we are ready to go it, it’s about 40-45 minutes from Virar Station. Auto charges about 275-300 rupees. You can go by bus, we preferred to go by bus. We not face any problem in journey, it’s like real happy journey. We reached there around 8:45.as I get it down from the bus, I surprised because I not seen any entrance gate for great escape even no single poster of Great escape, I asked my dad, are we in right place? Or you are fooling me? Dad replied chill my son we have to walk some distance for actual great escape what you eagerly want to sea. After walking 10-15 minutes we reached towards the actual main gate of Great escape, and first reaction from my side is Awesome, I eager to go inside and want to enjoy…
On 12th that was a Sunday and a vacation time for kids, it was way too crowded. You have to Pay 650 per adult and 550 per Kid. That includes for food(compulsorily).dad completed all the formality what they want and paid tickets money. Then we took our breakfast, first time, though I am hungry, I don’t want to take breakfast, I only want to enjoy the whole day with exciting water slides and swimming pool. If you are coming for breakfast here then no problem you get breakfast(Vada, Uttappam, Noodles, and Fried Rice) running almost the whole day.
WHAT IS THE GREAT ESCAPE?
Is it a Resort? Is it a Fun Park? Is it a Club? OR A Water Park?
The Great Escape is all this and more. A getaway for the entire family. Away from the pollution of Mumbai. Amazing water slides and swimming pools, once you enter definitely for the day you will forgot about the word, Great escape really makes you to forgot everything, you fill relax, there is separate sections for kids and even for senior citizen.
The Great Escape Water Park is studded in the picturesque mountains of Pelhar conveniently away from the busy city life. This water park invites you to experience the thrill of over a dozen breath-taking water park slides There is separate space for Lunch(three vegetables, one sweet, dahi vada, puri, rice, and dal) and evening snacks(veg biryani, curd, Pav Bhaji). The food was fine and more than adequate
They a range of hospitality services for guests who seek more than the basic water park packages there is also lots of events which you can enjoy with your family separate events for kids also
You also need to take care while enjoying water slides, they give you some guidelines and you have to follow this guidelines you can Challenge your friends and family with the water park games or chase them down the water slides and land right into the lazy landing pools, . There is something for everybody at The Great Escape Water Park…
You can enjoy the sights and sounds of a foot tapping rain dance DJ. There is also separate play area for kid, which I like most.
All I can say is the park is good for one day picnic. There are some pros and cons as I observed:
1 Lot of foods which is included in entry ticket.
Staff is good.
Good atmosphere.
Good rides for children.
Rides for adults also.
Good entertainment
Many of having complaint about water cleaning, yes even I fill same. Water is not perfectly clean.so if you are with your kids please first check that, it can affect their skin.some of the cons which I observed
Water in all the pools is very shallow.
One cannot know what the management are doing for cleaning the water.
Foods are not so delicious, except Batata Vada.
Huge gathering of people on holidays.
So many people in the same pool without taking any precaution by management.
They have increased the entry fees.
All I can say is the park is good for one day picnic.
