I went to eye foundation for a regular check up during the month of Feb 2012. First of all, I never had a good opinion about this hospital(due to previous experience) but I still had to go here because of my dad's compulsion. As usual, they put some eye drops before check up so that the pupil is more visible and the doctors can easily check our eyes
I was asked to take a scan (Rs. 500) which gives you detailed graph of your eye condition and that helps the doctors to find out the problem more easily(which they could have done even before the regular check up)
And then they said I have been diagnosed with KERATOCONUS and the only solution is to take up a surgery called C3R (Rs. 15000) which I took it during the month of March 2012. I was promised that within 3-4 months after taking the C3R treatment the eye power will improve which did not happened till now and I'm sure now its worse than earlier condition.
I continued to go there for regular check up (once in 2 months) and all they did was made sure I wait there at least for 4 hours and the funny part is they treat every patient like they are ill literate people. If you ask why its getting delayed all you get is ("Senior doctor went for lunch and he comes back only in the evening", "Once again put the eye drops and say the pupil is properly visible"...blah...blah... all non sense).
One thing for sure is they know how to CHEAT people, even though I dint see any improvement I'm my eye sight every time when I visit there they were during the regular dummy check ups and said "hmmm, yeah there is a good improvement visit again after 2 months " (lol only then we ll be able to cheat and earn money)
Days went and I did not see any improvement I'm my eye sight and two weeks back I went there and lucky me there wasn't much crowd as usual waited in the reception for 15 mins then the D*head was't able to diagnose properly so he asked me to get another scan done (Rs. 500 ) and then he finally gave the eyeglass prescription and I got shocked after looking at the sheet as it was the same power before and after the eye surgery and when I asked him that why its the same power and there isn't any improvement? He answered me casually saying that this surgery would help only to strengthen up the corneal structure (which he might have read it from internet) and it not always improve the eye sight.
