Three times love...spiced up with shayaris!!. Review on Teri Meri Kahani

Same actors...similar goof-ups in their love stories...different eras.Thats Teri meri kahani.Directed by Kunal Kohli,self proclaimed yash raj fan.

story-Its a movie about Sasha and piggy chops..story of the " match made in heaven" ,in which the protagonists meet in different years and fall in love.case in which there is an instant connection felt between the two,the moment they meet.

The underlying message of the movie remains the same..be it 1910,1960 or 2012..Love and the associated feelings/pain and mirth never change..the mode of communication and expression may change with time.But the raw emotion of love has never changed and will never change.

This reminded me of the message Imtiaz tried to portray in Love aj kal..

Be it the love-lorn couple parted by family pressure and reunited by destiny of 1910 or the struggling musician and established actress of 1960..or the Gen Y radha n krish,who connect thru FB and twitter.for whom expression of love and hatred is indicated by changing relationship status of their FB account(sounds familiar;)..Its love and only love which conqures all in the end.

Star-cast/performance-Priyanka and Shahid are two brilliant actors,who have proved their acting skills time and again.Needless to mention,they acted really well.Priyanka portrayed all the 3 characters of diifferent generations with elan..The shyness of 1910 aaradhana,the confidence n coyness of the 1960 actress and the bold and street smart girl of 2012.She looked quiet convincing.

Shahid..as always,was cute,hot,sexy and sweet..:)as a cheap sadak chaap romeo,whose only motive in life is to get married n give "potas" to his mom (1910),the under-confident and struggling new comer of 1960,the contemporary college chap of 2012,who compares "daaru with girls" and who is more concerned about his expensive shades than his girl-friend..he was quiet endearing.

Prachi and neha had guest appearance and they filled in the empty spaces effectively.

Direction:

Praiseworthy..the smooth transition between one story to another..not even once the direction sagged.Only glitch which I observed was all three stories had similar endings and the twists were more or less the same.the other girl/guy angle was quiet predictable.

However,the way he directed the 1960 scenes and the transition in 2012,where gizmos,ipods,phones,laptops are seen everywhere and the way he directed three different stories without any complication surely deserves clapping..

Music:Average music by Sajid wajid..it could have been much better and melodious..the music reminds you of jatin lalit tracks of yore..only melodious track was "mukhtasar"..nice song n apt picturization too.

All in all,a good blend of all the right ingredient made TMK watchable flick..3 stars is what it deserves as per my verdict.

P.S.:Its not a movie about reincarnation and not even remotely related to "Dangerous ishq".So leave all your apprehensions at home,go to the movie theater,relax and enjoy the experience.
