It’s really very difficult to pick 10 songs from the fantastic numbers offered by this great yet modest and shy guy.Somehow all his tracks seem to be fantastic and mind blowing.Anyways,when so many
members have picked their 10 best{with pree_16 being an exception},I thought I should also give it a shot.So here goes........

Even though this song was subdued by Chaiyyan Chaiyyan{From the same movie}it is and will be my best song from this album ’cos it not only has Rahman’s music but also his lovely voice.
2>Nahi Saamne-Taal
Wow,what a song.Even this song was not the number 1 from this album.The feeling in this song is so great that it reminds you of your loved one when he is far away from you.
3>Duur Na Ja Mujhse-Sapnay
This was the song which sounded great even though it was dubbed from its Tamil version.The beats in this song make you want to get up and dance with that someone special.
4>O Rey Chori-Lagaan
This song shows you the brilliance of Rahman whose music not only sounds great with Hindi lyrics but is also compatible with English lyrics.
5>Kuchchi Kuchchi Rakkama-Bombay
The use of Tabla in this song is mind blowing.Iused to hate this particular instrument before I heard this song.But,this song changed my view of this instrument.truly a great song as far as the music is concerned even though the hindi lyrics are not high class.
6>Dekha Nahi Hai Tujhko Kal se-Duniya Dilwalon Ki
Superb song.Lovely lyrics,right beat and the dash of emotions-all the ingredients to make a superhit hindi song.
7>Pyaare Panchchi Baahon Mein-Hindustani
The music in this song is so very Indian.It makes you feel at home,no matter wherever in the world you are.
8>Phoolon Mein Jo Khushbu Hai-Jeans
One of the most romantic among his songs.It also features Aishwarya Rai,the dazzling beauty{Wow}.What a combination-Music and Miss Perfect face.
9>Vande Mataram-Vande Mataram{His Album}
The most soulful song of Rahman.He has sung it with full josh and the fact that its related to Indian History makes it a true pioneer.
10>Tanha Tanha-Rangeela
Last but not the least,his first offering in Hindi cinema-Rangeela.A great album,but this song is a real beauty.
