Top Five Watchable Hindi Serials
Sep 12, 2008 03:08 PM 22231 Views

After returning from office, what one needs for relaxation is a cup of coffee/tea, a short nap and some good serials to watch.

Ekta Kapoor's serials cannot be watched these days. The same kind of storyline, same villains/vamps, same sobbing drama should be watched by people who are frustrated with life and want to commit suicide.

The best serials presently aired are Balika Vadhu on Colours (8.PM), Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat on Star Plus (8.PM), Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil on Star Plus (8.30PM), Santaan on Star Plus (7.30PM) and Kya Dil Mein Hai on 9X (8.PM-Friday-Saturday).

Balika Vadhu, the best among the rest, is about our ancient custom of child marriage. The story depicts what used to happen earlier. Anandi, the little bride does a good job. Because of the rules framed by her grandmother-in-law and the norms fixed by the society, Anandi is on the verge of losing her childhood.

She has to go through the pressures and the trauma of marriage that come at an early age, that to in a less developed society. Amidst all these, she is supported by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, who can do nothing but helplessly provide her some consolation. She is adored by her mother-in-law. The friendship, attachment and affection that is gradually developing between the young couple is adorable yet innocent.
