How about 100 best songs????. Review on Ten Best Songs of Kumar Sanu

Kumar Sanu. A person who holds the Guinness record for recording the most number of songs in a day(28).  He has sung more than 7500 songs in various languages. So selecting a mere 10 would be doing injustice to him and to his fans too. But, thats what precisely I have(& hate) to do.

Often criticised for having a nasal voice, Kumar has nevertheless given several huge hits(mostly with Nadeem-Shravan).

Here are 10 of his best songs(in my opinion):

1. Der Se Hua Par Pyaar To Hua Re(Solo)(Music: Nadeem-Shravan)(Lyrics: Sameer)(Hum Ho Gaye Aapke):

Yep. This song is the number one for me in Nadeem-Shravan's and Alka's best songs too. A very excellent composition by N-S is supplemented by great singing by Sanu. Though the song is presented very very badly in the movie.

1. Ab Tere Bin Jee Lenge Hum(Solo)(Music: Nadeem-Shravan)(Lyrics: Sameer)(Aashiqui):

One of the best'negative' songs ever. This song won him his first Filmfare. It says that' Now I can live without you.'. A song every person whose heart has been broken should listen to. Pure energy this one.

1. Ek Aisi Ladki Thi Jise Main Pyaar Karta Tha(with Alka Yagnik & Ajay Devgan)(Music: Nadeem-Shravan)(Lyrics: Sameer)(Dilwale)

Another sad song. Kumar dominates this song. His voice suits the mood of the song perfectly.

1. Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahin(with Anuradha Paudwal)(Music: Nadeem-Shravan)(Lyrics: Sameer)(Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahin).

One of the all time great songs. Anuradha complements Sanu well. N-s's music is MAGICAL.

1. Teri Umeed Tera Intezaar Karte Hai(with Sadhana Sargam)(Music: Nadeem-Shravan)(Lyrics: Sameer)(Deewana)

A great romantic song.'Ae sanam hum to SIRF tumse pyaar karte hai'(O my darling, I love ONLY U). Great music and great lyrics help Kumar to give his best.

1. Tum Dil Ki Dhadkan(Solo)(Music: Nadeem-Shravan)(Lyrics: Sameer)(Dhadkan)

Another great romantic song. Surprisingly, this song didnt become as huge a hit as I expected. It says about a lover who is waiting for his beloved to return to him after a long period of time. Kumar is mind blowing when he goes'He. He. He. He.'

1. Ishq Jab Ek Taraf Ho(Solo)(Music: Nadeem-Shravan)(Lyrics: Sameer)(Hungama):

This wonderful song was badly shown in the movie. Sameer's lyrics are so moving. The director was surely out of his mind when he didnt realise the potential of this song. It says'When love is one-sided, it pains; when its two-sided, its great'. Too good and TRUE.

1. Bas Ek Sanam Chahiye Aashiqui Ke Liye(Solo)(Music: Nadeem-Shravan)(Lyrics: Sameer)(Aashiqui)

One of the huge hits of the 90s. Kumar is excellent and his tone is in sync with the mood of the song. What to say of N-S?  Outstanding!

1. Mohobbat Ho Na Jaaye(with Alka Yagnik)(Music: Nadeem-Shravan)(Lyrics: Sameer)(Kasoor)

Pure magic this one. Sameer's lyrics are so moving. Both Alka and Sanu are very good in this one.

1. Woh Ladki Bahut Yaad Aati Hai(with Alka Yagnik)(Music: Nadeem-Shravan)(Lyrics: Sameer)(Qayamat)

There are two versions of this song. The sad version is quite short though good nonetheless. Kumar is solo in the sad version. Alka is as usual great. So are N-S.

Kumar's voice adjusts to both the songs perfectly.
