JATIN LALIT.have been one of my favourite music directors of the present generation because their music was very reminicent of R.D.BURMAN, they tried to follow his style of music.'.the melody, instrumentation is quite similar, it reflected especially in the romantic songs. They made music which was quite modern(not in the conventional sense) and at the same time very commercially viable', hence I felt they very slightly unlucky as far as awards go and also under-rated.They were far better tham many of their contemporaries at the time they entered the industry.I have been following their music since their first album released and I have a a huge collection of JATIN LALIT's song.and they have composed some beautiful songs so its tough job to pick from there vast collection but if I had to make a compilation cassette\cd of their songs, these are the ones i'll put.
TEN BEST SONGS OF JATIN LALIT.
1.**BIN TERE SANAM, MAR MITE GE HUM
AA MERI ZINDAGI**.
Wow!What a beautiful song, this was the first song I heard of JL, and the first album I heard of their's, YAARA DILDARA.All the songs were great from this film.but Bin Tere Sanam is a personal favourite coz of the melody and romance in it, also perfect singing by'UDIT NARAYAN and KAVITA KRISHNAMURTY'.Really a great composition.
2.**TU MERE SAATH SAATH AASMA SE AAGE CHAL,
TUJHE PUKARTA HAI TERA AANA WALA KAL**.
This was an amazing song from the film RAJU BAN GAYA GENTLEMAN, each song was good in this film.but'Tu mere saath' is was just way too good, it was very close to what a RDBURMAN song would be.and that why I loved it.'ALKA YAGNIK-KUMAR SANU'.sung it very well.
3.**DEKHA TERI MAST NIGAHON NE,
NASHA HAI, ADA HAI, MOHABBAT HAI**.
KHILADI again was a great album, i love all the songs from this film.but'Dekha teri' is like a favourite of mine.This song was very beautifully composed, the feel and effect it has and the use of instruments(guitar), singing by'KUMAR SANU'.alltogether made this song a gem.I'ld also like to mention the song WAADA RAHA SANAM.which I liked equally.
4.**AAE KASH KE HUM, HOSH MAIN AB AANE NA PAYE,
BAS NAGME TERE PYAR KE, GAATE HI JAAYE**.
Again a beautiful composition from JATIN LALIT.this song is just so melodious, lyrics are great too.and'KUMAR SANU' sung it brilliantly.One of my all time favourite song.from KABHI HAAN KABHI NA
5.**BADI TAZZA KHABAR HAI,
KI TUM KHOOBSOORAT HO**.
This song is from KHOOBSOORAT, and I feel'JATIN LALIT' did full justice to'GULZAR's' lyrics in this song.i especially love the paragraphs of this song, very nicely composed and sung by'ABHIJEET'.'Ye chere jo roshan hai lau ki tarah, inhe dekhne ki zarroorat nahi.
6.**BAHON KE DARMIYAN, DO PYAR MIL RAHE HAI,
JANE KYA BOLE MAN**.
This is one of the best compositions of JATIN LALIT from the film KHAMOSHI, and one of my most favourite song of them.The compoition is so soothing and romantic, the feel it has is mesmerising.'HARIHARAN-KAVITA KRISHNAMURTY' did a great job as singers and Javed Akhtar deserves special mention for the https://lyrics.
7.**ROOTH KAR HUMSE KABHI, JAB CHALE JAOGE TUM,
YE NA SOCHA THA KABHI, ITNE YAAD AAOGE TUM**.
I picked this song from JO JEETA WOH SIKANDER.coz PEHLE NASHA is like a very liked, much popular song and my favourite too.but this song from JJWS, was a gem, very under-rated song.lots of emotion in the song, well composed and sung by'LALIT', himself.
8.**CHAAND TARE TOD LAYUN, SAARI DUNIYA PAR MAIN CHAYYO,
BAS ITNA SA KHAWAB HAI**.
Well no list of JATIN LALIT's song can be complete atleast without the mention of this song.I loved this song the moment I heard it for the first time, everything is just perfect in this song.the composition, lyrics and singing by'ABHIJEET'.
9.**JAB KISSI KI TARAF, DIL JHUKNE LAGE,
BAAT AAKA KAR, ZUBA PE RUKNE LAGE**.
.i love this song from PYAR TO HONE HI THA.The opning music of this song is taken from BRYAN ADAM's song IF YOU EVER LOVED A WOMAN, and the music gels very well with this song.esp love the para'chahane jab lage, dil kissi ki kushi.very nice.
10.AATI KYA KHANDALA.
.from the film GHULAM.I had to pick this song, coz its one of the most fun-tapori song I have ever heard, the song was very unlike JATIN LALIT, but they did a great job.very catchy song, 'AAMIR KHAN-ALKA YAGNIK' did a perfect job in singing it.
This completes my list of ten best songs of JATIN LALIT.its hard job to pick just ten, coz there are still many I love.but the above mentioned are like my personal favourites.i hope you like the list.
