Answer.It`s picturisation.
Q2.Is it only the song which matters?
Answer.No!If a song is good it can be made better by its picturisation.
Q3.Why does the picturisation of a song matters?
Answer.If a song is good, it has to be picturised well so that people may find it more interesting and they can understand the song much better after watching the video.If a song is good(or excellent)but its picturisation is dull then the song sdoes not look THAT good, so it is very important that a song should be picturised in a FRESH look to appeal the viewers.
In my list, I`m going to name 5 songs from Hindi films and 5 indi_pop songs.5+5=10!
THE 5 VERY WELL PICTURISED HINDI FILMI SONGS IN MY OPINION:
1.TUJHE DEKHA TO YEH JAANA SANAM(DILWALE DULHANIYA LE JAAYENGE):The song'Tujhe Dekha To Yeh Jaana Sanam'is from the most successful Hindi film'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge'.This song comes in a very sweet and romantic situation in the film when both the lovers(Shahrukh Khan and Kajol)meet each other, after a long time.At this stage, Kajol is getting married to the son of his father`s friend.She is unhappy and at the same time, through her window, she looks outside and finds a cow, on which her purse is hanged.She realizes that Raj(Shahrukh Khan)is there somewhere and she runs to that place and finds him out.This song has been picturised exquisitely, with full greenery everywhere and two lovers surrounded by that greenery.How ROMANTIC and SWEET!
2.LADKI BADI ANJAANE HAI(KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI):This song has also Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in it.The song'Ladki Nadi Anjaani Hai'is from the superhit film'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', directed by Karan Johar.The song has been choreographed by Farah Khan.There is no fast dance in this song and nor is SO romantic like'Tujhe Dekha To Yeh Jaana Sanam'but is very sweet and emotional.In this song both the college friends, Rahul and Anjali(Shahrukh Khan and Kajol)meet each other after eight years.The song comes at the best situation.Both the college friends used to fight, eight years ago and Anjali was a tom boy kind of a girl, who used to wear a DKNY shirt with black jeans and used to play basketball, all the time.Rahul always used to lose in this game and Anjali used to laugh at him but after eight years, Anjali is a different girl.She wears Sarree and has long hair(ZULFAIN in Urdu/Hindi).This time Anjali loses and then both the friends sing the song.The song has been picturised sweetly and beautifully in Shimla.There are many kids around both the college friends and the college friends, in this song miss all the college days.A heartwarming sequence in the film!
3.CHAL CHAIYA CHAIYA(DIL SE):This song'Chal Chaiya Chaiya' is from the film'Dil Se', picturised on Shahrukh Khan and Malaika Arora, and choreographed by Farah Khan.This is the only song, in the history of Indian cinema, which has been picturised on a moving train, that also on a high speed.During, its shooting, a man fell off the train and the director, Mani Ratnam had the ambulance with him.This song seems like a roller coaster ride, with bridges coming its way.Shahrukh Khan and Malaika Arora-Khan are at their best.Where Shahrukh is dancing very well, on the same time, Malaika is moving her waist and is looking HOT.Very well picturised!
4.KAISI HAI YEH RUT(DIL CHAHTA HAI):The super hit film'Dil Chahta Hai', based on the life of teenagers, was surely fresh with colourful surrounding but this song, 'Kaisi Hai Yeh Rut', has its own beauty.The way it has been picturised, so artistically with crows flying and butterflies having fun, the moon rising, make this song look so GRAND.This song comes when, Akshaye Khanna is painting and drawing the picture of an elderly woman, Dimple Kapadia.In this song, he draws and completes the painting.Very different and artistic!
5.DOLA RE DOLA(DEVDAS):The sequence where Paro and Chandramukhi of Devdas dance together, is the song'Dola Re Dola'.Never have we heard Paro and Chandramukhi coming face to face but in this song they dance together.This dance sequence enhances the drama, in the film.It comes, at the scene where it is POOJA of DURGA MAA, at Paro`s in-law`s.This song has been choreographed by Saroj Khan.We can see two beautiful fairies, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwariya Rai dancing together, wearing expensive clothes, and beutiful jewellery, on the screen.The set is just beautiful, made of several crore Rs.Very well choreographed!
THE 5 VERY WELL PICTURISED INDI_POP SONGS IN MY OPINION:
1.NOORI(BALLY SAGOO):This song is the remixed version of the song'Noori'.A very different and well picturized song!In this song, we can see a dead woman, with a candle in her hand, is coming out of her grave and then walking in the whole city.At night, some farmers look at her and when they look at her footprints, they realize, she is not a human being.When its her time to sleep, she goes back and sleep.
2.TERA CHEHRA(TERA CHEHRA_ADNAN SAMI KHAN):Many people won`t like the fact, that Adnan Sami being so fat is romancing with beautiful Bollywood actresse but this song is picturised beautifully and is directed by Bela Segal.Rani Mukherjee looks simply gorgeous, where she is in red clothes and has a candle in her hand.In this song, it has been showed, that she is dead and the most emotional part is where, the mirror breaks and in the mirror Adnan Sami can see her crying.
3.HUM NAYE GEET SUNAAYEIN(VIVA!):Remember the 5 coke V popstars girls'jinka BAND baja tha'.This was the first video of the 5 girls Anushka, Seema, Mahua, Neha and Pratichee.It was directed by Sanjay.F.Gupta and the sets were lovely and lively.Pink in colour, the video of this song looks very colourful.The background of the video is pink and the 5 popstars at some places appear together.First, Seema is introduced, then Anushka, following her Neha appears, then Mahua and saying'Kyun Log Milte Hain.', Pratichee appears.This was a very FRESH song with fresh faces.
4.CHADTHI JAWAANI(AUR EK HASEENA THI):This song is said to be vulgar.NO DOUBT!but it is very different.D.J. DOLL, which is said to be the most GROOVING album of the year is just VULGAR and has no story, but being vulgar, the story, concept and idea of the video of this song is great!Three angels turn into humans, and cannot understand what is around the.They don`t understand what the fridge is for, what the iron is for and for what is the television?A man enters the room through the window and they lock him in a cupboard and when the moon rises, they sleep again.Very cute idea!(Just forget their outfits for a moment!As a fact, were they wearing any outfits?)
5.NAHIN NAHIN ABHI NAHIN(D.J AQEEL):This was a HIT song and very different.A girl and a boy stuck in an elevator, start to do weird things.The video is cutely picturized and the the girl in this video acts very well, when she looks at the match and says'Nahin nahin abhi nahin abhi thoda intezaar'.It was hilarious.
