Gulzar Sahab.
the deep voice which narrates the opening of the song, the immaculate expression of emotions, the intensity of
simplicity of events, the synonymity of the objects of life to things which soothe the soul.these are a few
ahrateristics which make Gulzar sahab's work stand out and way above the ordinary.
His ability to write for highly intense themes like aandhi, maasoom, ijazat, machis to themes associated with children
like kitaab, mogali [jungle book], makadee to comical themes like angoor, golmaal and to peppy themes like bunty and
bubbly recently.speakes large about the enormity of vivid spectrum he creates with his words.
Undoubtedly Gulzar sahab tends to create an alltogether new dimension to poetry and does with words what masters
do with a paintbrush.bring out the colors of life and things around it. Calling him a mere lyricist would be like
downsizing his stature as a literary artist.

Life tends to astound us with things which it brings to us. It takes us through the highs and lows of the emotional
existence.starkedly dazed yet mysteriously astounding.
2. Tere bina zindagi se shikva - Aandhi
The courage a lover tries to hold against the loss of his love.and still somehow desires for the night to last
forever now that he has met her after ages.
'Without you life does not cease to exist.but then without you can it be called a life?'
.now the ones which have been lesser heard.
3. Khamosh sa afsaana - Libaas
The brilliance of the lyrics .the echo of silence.and the emotional content of this song are remarkably
comlimented by Pancham Da's music.
4. Ye saye hain - Sitara
No one could have put this better than Gulzar saha.
Kayi chaand uth ker jalaye bujhaye.bohot humnay cha ha zara neend aye
comparing the nights to switching the moon on and off .absolutely brilliant
5. Roz Roz Aankhon Taley - Jeeva
One of the best expression of one's being in love I have ever heard. despite of the rebilious theme of the movie.this song comes as the true softer inside in all of us which seeks love.
6. Choti si kahani se - Ijazat
Music way ahead of it's times.that was Pancham Da & lyrics way intense, close to real life and yet above the ordinary .that is Gulzar sahab. This songs tends to leave vibrant impression on your memory. You can't help but listen to it again.
7. Tere bina jiya jaye na - Ghar
Love tingles your inner senses.which makes you feel good about yourself.and this is one of the sweetest way a female expresses her longing for her beloved. Immaculate as I said before.
8. Haal Chaal Thik Thak Hai - Mere Apney
A comical sattire on the the social problems which are faced by the educated youth who come from lower class of our society. Tends to make about smile about the events potrayed and yet makes you think about how grave things are about the materialistic attitudes this world holds largely.
9. Aaney wala pal - Golmaal
Live for the moment.and realize the pricelessness of each moment you live.
Ek baar waqt se .Lamha gira kahin
wahan daastaan mili .lamha kahin nahi.
All that is left after the moment .is a memory and the story which goes along with it
10. Do naina aur ek kahani - Maasoom
Tears write so maney words with the invisible ink.yet leave a saga on the mind for almost forever.
No one could have justified Mirza Ghalib better in the potrayal as Gulzar Sahab did in the TV series.
Hat's off to this maestro.for the times have changed and so have tastes
but his work sparks up the aesthetics within you everytime you listen to his work.no matter how many times you have heard to it before.
