Instrumental themes in movies have become a trend in the past few years.I suppose it was after Rahman did a theme music in 'Rangeela'.More specifically Ram Gopal Varma's movies had atleast one theme music.The trend grew powerfully in the industry and now there are a lot of instrumental themes making my part tough to choose only a few.
The following list are the themes(instrumentals) in bollywood movies that remain the best of the their genre.
My apologies if a few are missed out and the list is not in any specific
order.
1.Piano Theme:(1947-Earth)
I would like to begin the list with my favourite.The theme is composed by A R Rahman who is well-known for such themes and instrumentals.The theme starts with beautifully woven music in keys piano and chords following it.The atmosphere the theme creates is not normal.There is also a wind instrument pushed in when the keys stop.

2.Debraj' theme:(Black)
Monty scored full points for this movie.This track in particular attracted me so
much.With the tanpuras running behind the song is remarkable.
A theme for the soul.
3.Mundu's theme:(Fire)
This track forms the Background music and the sarangi dominates the senses and is really awe-inspiring.The rhythms sprinkled over the second of is a treat to hear.

4.Satya Theme:(Satya)
Sandeep chowta is the next to Rahman in composing many theme musics for film.Probably that's because he has worked a lot with RGV.Satya Theme is one rhythm based music with a great instance of deep bass of violins in the start.Slowly the violins fade out to bring in the rhythm.

5.Once upon a time:(Lagaan)
An immense theme with a melodious start that reaches out at high patriotic pitch blended beautifully with the harmony.The composer is Rahman again.

6.Rock in Goa:(Dil Chahtha hai)
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy renders a splendid song for Shaky, freaky Milieu.Bass lines and bass guitars pick their spells and prove superb.Rocking begins here
7.Bombay Theme:(Bombay)
The theme forms the blood of the movie circulating behind the theme of the movie from the title to the end.Astounding composition by Rahman.The indian flutes, violins swim ahead with vigour.

8.Spirit of Rangeela:(Rangeela)
Possibly the first of its kind.Well mixed tracks and the harmony by Anupama is for the younger generation.Haunting stuff!

9.Raaga Dance:(Taal)
Mystical theme, sanity of musical treatment with nothing to let you down, when Rahman dances on your senses.it is the Raga dance.Musically enriched composition.

10.Earth theme:(1947-Earth)
Displayed with passionate music and hums, the deep resonant track of Deepa mehta's'Earth' is nothing less than brilliance.Rahman's speciality is in the creative treatment in the themes.

I've a still longer list including Meenaxi, Company, Sarkar, White noise.but ten is the frontier.This was just Bollywood film's instrumental themes list.Sensible music provoke astuteness in beings nand hope we have a lot more to come.
