I believe when you are in love everything around you turns romantic all of a sudden. Romance is in the heart of the person and during such stage if you watch a movie that has exuberance, innocence and serenity of romance, the life appears to be more vibrant and wanted.
However, there are thousands of movies in the land of 'kamasutra' there are few which ignite the feel of romance even at a slight reminder.
Chandni** - One among the best romantics coming from the house of maverick like Yash Chopra. The movie had not so coveted pairing and the time this movie was released filmi pundits had already declared the bombing of the flick, but it survived all odds and today this movie stands tall as all time favorite of young and romantic couples.
The songs, picturisation, screenplay, actors, et al, everything seems to be at place and the BEST. Your heart will surely skip a beat when you will sit to watch this movie, I bet.
>DDLJ (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge) **- What do I need to say about this movie? So much has been written about it that there are no words left. The charm that is retained by this flick is beyond any comparison. Rightly stated the classic of modern times.
Ek Duje Ke Liye** - This and romantic, you might be thinking if I have gone crazy. But no words, this movie is romantic in every sense. What if the protagonists don't unite, they do let you ponder over the entire scenario that social dogma has retained over the years.
A thought provoking movie indeed which tried to raise the century old issue of love that culminates into death.

Hum dil De Chuke Sanam - Great music with taut direction and wonderful locales, thats how beauty is restored in this movie. What woh saat din lacked, HDDCS came forward with.Maine Pyar Kiya- A cute love story which introduced Prem and Suman as household name. Very young at outlook and yet the pride for the actors who gave in their best and see the result on-screen.
Silsila **- Hmmmmmmmmmmm...how can any list be complete without this evergreen classic. though the movie bombed on teh box-office, it's one of the best movies coming from the Yash Chopra camp.
Loosely based on the on-screen chemistry between Rekha and Jaya Bhaduri, the film was ahead of its time and could have been made now.
A feel, it should be remade
a matured love story, again ahead of its time. The movie had unconventional theme and thats what attracted me the most. Today there is so much hoopla created around 'nishabd' but the concept is too old...we had Anil Kapoor playing the part of Kunwar Ji who finally falls in love with her lover's daughter.
And the rest I leave upon my critics and friends....help me to add few more names.
