*1. Sadma starring Sridevi and Kamal Hassan

*Well, especially for the western readers I must say that if u have not seen this movie yet(ofcourse u didnt.!) then its just like missing out "One flew over the cuckoo`s" nest of urs.yes it is one of the greatest work Indian cinema has ever produced. Sridevi the innocent, funny, childlike was truely outstanding in that role, she stole the show of Kamal Hassan who was also great in his role.

*2. Andaz Apna Apna

*When Salman Khan is asked whether he has seen the movie Sholay(1975), he says "Haan, dus baar(yes, ten times)", Amir Khan jokingly says "Iske baap ne likhi hai"(his father has written it). This is true. Salman Khan's father Salim Khan was one the co-writers of the 1975 block buster Sholay. Great movie Amir Khan along with Govinda are the best comic actors.

*3. Mr India

*Mr India is worth your money. It's brilliant. Sridevi, Anil Kapoor and the kids were excellent. The kids put on the humor. The story is brilliant because it's about a guy who takes in homeless kids and looks after them and discovers his dead father had a formula to make any human being disappear and that's when Anil Kapoor becomes Mr India and uses it to keep away his enemies. It deserves a 10 out of 10

*4. Taare Zameen Par

*"Taare Zameen Par" is an exceptional story, but it is only and exceptional film because of its director(Aamir). Aamir does an amazing job of engaging his audience, introducing a brilliant main character(Ishan), and making the audience experience the reality of children's paradise & their inner world.

*5. Nagina Starring Sridevi

*This movie is definitely a classic. I used to love watching it as a kid. If you are willing to suspend your disbelief or if you are a little kid, you'll like the movie. If you like snakes, you might like the movie. It's about a woman who can turn into a snake. It's great.

6. Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi

Best Indian action movie ever made. Amazing stunts by Akshay Kumar. Great work by action coordinator Akbar. Foot tapping numbers by Annu. Excellent locations. Good work by Rekha, Raveena. Action scenes especially WWF ones were too good.

*7. Lamhe Starring Sridevi and Anil Kapoor

*Its shame that this movie didn't become a blockbuster. Yash Chopra consider it his best movie till date. and I agree with him. Sridevi surpassed everyone this year with this great performance. Anil Kapoor was at his best, never been that sweet.

*8. Khuda Gawah

*shot on actual locations in afghanistan nepal and india this film transports youto a world of subcontinental adventure and romance intelligent colourful and sensitively directed this film is a must for viewers who would like to see an indian spielberg a thing of beauty joy forever

*9. Khamoshi

*One would wonder how it is possible to leave two characters who are both deaf and unable to speak, to develop themselves on their own. But Nana Patekar and Seema Biswas(Bandit Queen) have given their most impressive and sincere performances yet. Manisha as the girl stuck between her love for music and her love for her parents portrays the multiple complexities of the character very effectively. Salman Khan does his usual satisfactory job as the lover boy. However, the real winner of the film is the script also written by Bhansali himself.

*10. Johnny Gaddaar

*Unquestionably one of the smartest films I've seen recently, the biggest strength of Johnny Gaddaar is its unpredictability. Unlike most conventional thrillers with a heist at its core, this one's not a whodunit – it can't be, because you know all along who's done it – the question instead is, how's he going to get away with it? Really the film's biggest accomplishment is the manner in which it compels you, the viewer to think differently – midway through the film you've got the drift, you begin to expect the unexpected, you even begin to predict what's going to happen next. That's the level of involvement you're able to muster up for this film.
