Im a sri lankan and have watched lot of bollywood films ....but haven't watch much films in late 50s 60s ....but I have watched films like madhumathi ....sangam, jis desh me ganga behti hai, like wise .........they r great films but I'm not going to include them in my list ok im starting now
1) Sholay
this film deserves this position. I dont why and I cant explain why I love this film so much .may be it is the first film that make a revolution or a change in the bollywood industry.romance .action , thrill, tragedy all were included in that
2) Kuch kuch hota hai
this is my fav romance film .i have watched it so many times and waiting for see it much more times .this was the first film according to me make a beautiful change in the romance film industry.and it was greatly supported by the acting of the great pair SRK & KAJOL.and songs were also great ....love this film.
3) Lagaan
greatest hit of aarmir , , , , , , , , , , inspired by great great music and acting of cast .........all the actors specially charcter of the white army captain was done perfectly ...you should watch it if u searching for a different kind of story.
4)Munna bhai MBBS
greatest comedy film ever and it also had some sensitive occasions where it makes us to cry ..........great hit wonderful acting of sanjay dutt and specially great dialogues.and arashad did a great supporting role..best comedy ever I think.
5)kabhi kushi kabhi gham
this film give a great feeling about our own family .it makes us to think about our parents and also includes a great love story some comedy great film ...
6)border
lot of guys in this review has forgotten this movie .i dont why ............this is the best patriot movie in india I think...........yr legend of bagat singh , mangal pandey are great films but this is the greatest .this show the humanity , bravery of soldiers and it will gives a nice image about soldiers to public which is needed.im soooo sad that these kind of movies are not presenting in our country up to now at least.hopes it will happen in the future ......great acting by sunny, sunil akshay, jackie.
7)Dil chata hai
lot of guys doesnt like this one ........but I think this was the first film which changes the flowing of bollywood to another way .......dont know how to explain but saw a great different in that movie and honestly say that this movie mad me cry not a loud cry but tears came .....i dont why ........u can say there r lot of tragedy movies than this actually this is not a tragic one except akshay loosing his "love"...........but when akshay and aamir finally met in the hospital with that background music tears came to my eyes remembering my friends....it is a great movie which expose friendship and which shows what actual love is ...............i think EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH IT!

this is another hit by aarmir ..........and nazzrudin was great in this ...great acting by aarmir
and great music too .it gives a common story in bollywood in different way .police smuggling ......but great acting as CID officer by aarmir and great acting of nazzrudin makes the film a great one .
9) Ajnabee
in the place goes to akshays great acting ..........this film was great hit in that time as it was filled by lot of unexpected and curious incidents .loved this one ..........akshays acting was great .khali is also a great one of akshay but I will pu this one as this makes me more exciting than khaki.
10)tara ram pum
i dont how I forget this one up to 10th..........this was a great hit of course ........though saif wasn't the greatest .........he done a considerably great role and rani was also great .But the PLOT and the MUSIC was its success.vishal and shekar introduced a different kind of music .to bollywood by this one ..songs like saaiyaan, tara rum pum .u should listen .by the way it was a great story about a family who faces lot of difficulties in life.and how they face them.
u will say that I haven't included any of rhthik or salman .........actually rhthik is a great actor but non of his roles doesn't seems like big roles to me to include in this one .........hmmmmm salu did some great hits including andaz apnna apna , hum dil de chuke sanam , hum apke hai kaun ...but not good for me to include in this....and I also mentioned ajay's acing in khaki , bagat singh, dil kya kare.......
