Lot of years have been gone in making of films, music. From time to time music has changed, so has instruments, so as listeners, their desires, media playing role in bringing western music in our homes, hence making room for some dance numbers in indian films, and syntesizers instead of regular tabla.

Regarding choice, its what you wanna hear most. There are so many songs sung by so many singers in last 50 odd years that its difficult to remember all and choose amongst them.So I will list here songs which I remember now and can hear anytime I wish to.some really melodious, lively songs

(order not according to my likening, just that song that struck my mind)

1.Ashiqui-Mera Dil tere liye: demonstrates the power of Udit's voice.it has so much passion in it.I think it is very hard to sing this song, and udit's has done  a great job here.Anuradha complements Udit well.

2Abhimaan-Teri Bindiya ReIt is such a sweet song you can just go through it without realising that it has finished. Its so great song and one of my all time favourites.

3Hum Tum-Sanso ko sanso main dhalne do zaraI was surprised to see that babul supriyo can sing so well.but it is undoubtedly great song.Alka's voice shines more though.

4Tera Jadoo chal gaya-Ai chand teri chandani ki kasam- heard innumberable times and still like to hear, its a great song-but Alka is disappointing in the 2nd para, pales in front of Sonu here

5.Refugee-Mere HumsafarAll songs in this movie are my fav, but this song is a special one.

I wonder what a talent is Anu malik.he is branded as a copier, but in some films like Diljale, Refugee, Loc the music is very original and so good. I dont know from where he gets an idea to create such a music like in this song.its amazing.

6.Diljale-Kuch tum bahekoHave my personal memories attached to it so its one song that I used to put on cassette, hear, and than again rewind it, hear and again and again.Udit is again so good here

7.QSQT-Ai mere HumsafarLively voice of Udit makes this song good.very romantic one.Udit's voice has power to shake hearts

8.Utsav-man kyu baheka re baheka I know, I know I am supposed to write about male and female duets, not two female ones, but I feel duet is a duet, and 2 female singing this song justify my inclusion of them in this column.

9Pakeezah-Chalo dildaar chalo Ever remembered a moonlit, romantic night with your beloved?this one makes one think of that.Evergreen song

10One of the best romantic duet for me-Khamoshi-Baho ke darmiyanHariharan and alka have sung this evergreen song which is capable of bringing tears to eyes. Not much songs are there who can match the melody of this song.
