I have a doubt whether this category/product must be called the TEN BEST AUTHORS or not, but nevertheless, I would like to tell mouthshutters(unlike what other prefer calling us "MSIANS") about  the authors whom I have read and would look forward to read all that I will come across to read about from them.

1. My first book which can be called a novel was David Copperfield. It was a non- detailed text for my eldest sister, now I dont remember which class she was, and I read it. I understood some, did not understood much, but I remembered the name Charles Dickens.

Charles Dickens books are more practical, sometimes we feel that the character seems to overact but then the stories from him are very good, I continued reading Charles Dickens when I read the story Pip in the churchyard. It was the Specia l English Text book for my second sister.(In Andhra Pradesh, esp in Hyd, non- Telugu mother tongue people had the option of choosing special English as Second language instead of studying Telugu from class 6. So my sister choose spl English, however I learnt Telugu.) So, I read it. I liked the book and the story(I was in fourth class then).

Pip in church Yard is actually the book Great Expectations. A book which opens the life on an English Gentleman later on when I was in 8th class I read it with real requirement and our teacher was good orator and he made us feel that we should read other books from Charles Dickens.

Subsequently I read "Tale of two cities" and the "Oliver Twist". There appears some resemblance between Oliver Twist and David copperfield, to some extent and we can see that both are written by the same author.

But "tale of two cities is a real great love story. The commitment of Sidney carlton is really worth. I thin a lover has to be like Sidney carlton in real life. Hats off to the creator of a lover like him.

That about **Charles Dickens .

2.**  Second in my life was Tom Sawyer, as you can see my first review was also from the same author's book Mark Twain. I read Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn and liked them both. Mark Twain remains in my memory for certain anecdotes that I read in which he says " maw the grass in front of my home"

Mark Twain is the second author that I like.

3. While my third elder sister was in 9th class, I was introduced to the Blue Carbuncle and Sherlock Holmes and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sir Doyle is a real great writer and the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, with different names was great to read. I read most of the sherlock holmes books after I became the member of British Library at Hyderabad. Also I read much on the internet.

The way Sherlock Holmes makes detective work science is really to be appreciated. The character of Watson is also very great. I also read other books from Sir Doyle, the book in which we are introduced to a general in the army of Napoleon is really funny, and I did not expect Sir Doyle's book to be anything comic when I took that book. This was another side of  Sir Doyle, that I was introduced to. Its a book to be read and enjoyed.

4. After starting my work life I got introduced to the books by Agatha Christie. It was great to read the first book of my life from Agatha Christie. As I did not have Library card then, the librarian did not allow the book to be taken out(naturally), I sat there in the library for two-three days and finished the book. I kept on telling the story about that book to several people then. Sparkling cyanide was the book that I took first.

Agatha Christie's whodunit books are good, but there is a real commonality. Generally the person who dies in her book is a rich woman. I dont know what she has against them that she makes all her villians victimise rich ladies. Examples are many, like "Sparkling cyanide", "A murder is announced"; "death comes as an end", "death on the nile: "the mirror cracked from side to side, or "a pocketfull of rye" etc.

I like the books more, where the detective is neither Ms Marple nor Hercule Poirot.  Like in the book "They came to Baghdad, or Sparkling cyanide" till the end we dont know who is going to play the detective.

The way I was finishing the books, my librarian madam, took care that I became a member of her library, made me take books regularly and made a book addict.

  1. John Grisham: I read some of JG's books like the Chamber, the Partner, the pelican brief, the firm, the Rainmaker, the client, etc, I liked them all.  They are real fast and make you read till the end with interest. All stories have lawyers or the law students as main characters. Its real good to read them. I read all those that were available in our library.

  2. Sidney Sheldon  When I read "The other side of Midnight" I fell in love with the character of Catherine. Later on when I read "If tomorrow comes" it was a tragedy for me. Many pages in the end were missing from the story. I made many friends, with the help of those missing pages in "If tomorrow comes" I like the way Sidney Sheldon explains cities, towns, people etc. He uses tremendous amount of sex in his works, sometimes which we feel wont make a much difference. Nevertheless, when reading the first books by him, it may attract a few others.

The speciality of Sidney Sheldon is the high speed with which the long pages of the story moves.

Sidney Sheldon's books remain to be the best to be read, and I am still craving for finding "If tomorrow comes " to read and finish.

Request: if anyone has this they can please send it to me! I will love to start reading Tracy Whitney's con games and adventures right from the beginning.

7.   Jeffrey Archer: I think the most reviewed books in my mouthshut reviews are by Jeffrey Archer. I read Jeffrey Archer's Not a penny less not a penny more" and then I read several of his books. The way he writes in some cases is so nice. The book: "First among equals" is such good, and so much dramatic that we want to read it once again, although the story is known the first time.

The other books that I have read " Shall we tell the president, As the crow flies, The prison diary., Kane and Abel,

  1. Jacqueline Sussann: One of the writers whose books are jara hat ke. "The Valley of dolls", "Dolores", " Yargo" are some books that I have read from her pens.

9. Ayn Ran D: Due to the restrictions in this site I had to adjust the name of the writer this way. AR books are real objectivism minded. A little difficult to digest but good all the same.  Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged  are two that I have read and they are good.

10.  Mario Puzo, : God Father

These are my favourite authors. Do read the review and comment on it.
