Tata Sky brought DTH, service to India. Hats off to them. Now we can enjoy liberty from Cable Operators, poor signal quality & entangling cables.

I have been a subscriber of Tata Sky since last one year. I feel that I am the one who paid the maximum amount for this. I paid Rs.3000 for STB & Rs.1000 for installation & Rs.300 per month for subscription. Now it is much cheaper than it.

Picture and Sound Quality of Tata Sky is good. However it is a little costly compared to other DTH people. No issue of signal disruption in rains (it goes away just for a minute or two in very heavy rains that too not always) as you might have been guided by other reviewers.

Just to mention some facts related to Tata Sky which one should know before getting subscription:-

1)Tata Sky customer care people are not really caring about customer.
2)Just to make you aware any change in residential address will mean an addtional expense of Rs.600, even if you move to a higher floor in the same building (which will require even less cable length).
3) In case after installation and signing of subsciption contact, your picture quality deminishes (which never happens normally) then also you need to pay a visiting fee (Rs.350/-) to their technician who they call as Engineer. I feel Rs.350/- for visit is very costly.
4) They will never ask you regarding the service/quality etc. Either they feel their system is so robust that customer will be 100% happy or they dont care.
