I have just moved from abroad to India, restarted my career with an upcoming organization at Pune – Viman Nagar. For our internet requirements we have opted for Tata Services Broadband connection with unlimited usage scheme as well as 3 USB Internet connections.

With the experience we got over this last couple of months I feel TATA USB connection is only a namesake connection. We can have a feel that I too have internet connection. Most of the time connection keeps failing, if the requirement is to upload an attachment even of 100kb you have to wait for the courtesy of the connectivity. You are expected to exercise maximum care to maintain the USB card in such a way that it is not getting spoiled.

Equally valuable the broadband connection too, we have to make sure that we are placing a service complaint every day so that the next day morning we may get the connectivity. At pune power cut for specified hours is a normal phenomenon during that hrs of power cut there won’t be internet connection as TATA is unable to have the backup for their connectivity. Also the connection fails even for few rain drops. For all the complaints TATA customer care is kind enough to accept the compliant and provide the number. They also ask us our available hrs so that their service engineer may visit our location.

During our suffering we have not seen their service engineer coming to us, when we enquire about this, there is a standard answer that the problem is at our (TATA) end which has been rectified hence there is no need to service engineer to visit your place. Good enough but how many times.
After all we are still with TATA indicom Broadband internet connection waiting for other services to start their service for our building.

I am experiencing the other services like Reliance and Airtel in the same locality, which are fairly good in connection, speed and service. Why can’t TATA provide the same?
Before I posted this message, I have checked in the internet it seems the complaints are equally serious in all parts of India.

Everyday many like us may get trapped with this connection; this message is aimed to provide awareness of unresolved situations with TATA connectivity and the difference TATA offering to customers.
