   Hi,

I am a founder of a start up training,research and analysis firm www.analytics.net.in ,in Pune . I wanted to have broadband connection so I called Tata Indicom call centre in Pune (I am from
Pune) on 020-60607070 and asked about the details..within 1/2 hour the sales person(Sachin Dhumma,Kothrud) was at my door. I told him abt my need and usage, he convinced me in a sugar-coated manner that 7500 MB capacity would be more than enough for me,so I went for 7500 MB plan (12th October 2007),paid Rs. 3000+ to him and the connection started in a week’s time.

Everything seemed very rosy ,and I thought of remaining loyal with Tata Indicom.

In a week’s time I faced connection problem, I called call centre person and she gave me 24hrs.time to resolve the issue. I thought this would happen once in 2 months or so (as assured by the above mentioned sales person),but it became part and parcel of the connection..and in the month of October and November..I called customer care people 20 times for the connection problem( every other day or so)..I spent 20 (calls)*5mins(minimum)*2(Rs.per minute) - Rs.200 as telephone expenses and I started living with the problem.

On 25th November, Tata Indicom people surprised me by sending a mail - which said that I had already used 80% of my capacity,after only 2 days I received one more mail from Tata Indicom that I had used 95% of data. And in 2 days I exhaused my limit of 7500 MB (barely 1and 1/2 months)

After this I called the call centre people atleast 5 times,once an engineer came and assured me that he would tell the matter to senior when I told him repeatedly that my usage is not more than 50MB per day. I called call centre,everytime I was told that the issue would be resolved in 24 hrs,72 hrs. But now it has been (from 1st December - 13th December) 13*24 =312 hours,but I have not received any call..In this process my telephone bill was(for calling tata indicom call centre)- 5 calls*25 mins per call*2 mins per call =Rs. 250. I called the sales person to give my feedback and what he could do in this regard..he said rudely "I can not do anything,call call centre people,and I will give you a call this evening" .It’s been 48 hours ,and the sales person has not called me back.

The same sales person had visited me in 1/2 hrs time after my enquiry when I wanted to take the connection.

I talked to some of my friends who OWN net cafe ,they were emphatic in saying that my daily usage can not  be more than 50 MB in any case,as per my usage pattern. I had also disabled any automatic update,(Windows or anti-virus)

Now,after going thru such a "HORRIBLE" experience,I want to know which is the better service or the best broadband service in Pune/India?

The purpose of this feedback is to save other people and make them cautious.
