TIAGO is the car that brought Tata Motors back into the Game and Even Today after 1 and a half year of launch it still holds a waiting period of 1 month in most cities. Reason- Tiago offers that feel at a price which Competition was unable to offer.
Exterior- Tiago was the first car based on the impact design of TATA Motors. Everyone was bored of the same Indica Based design which TML offered on Vista, Manza, Bolt & Indigo. SO they needed a change in the design which made then come up with it's new Impact design on the Tiago. From the Exterior Tiago looks Humble and Beautiful. The Hexagonal Grille with the Tata Logo and Chrome stripings under the Grille and around the fog lamps makes it look beautiful. Rear and side profile also looks Good. So no compliant with the design of the Tiago.
Interior- You get a Black Dashboard with Piano black finish which gives it a premium feel. Tiago's Interior feels more premium when compared to cars like Kwid, WagonR and Celerio. Leg room and Headroom are pretty Generous. 3 healthy Adults won't be very comfortable for long trips in the rear seat. However 2 adults and 1 child will not have any problem regarding the space in the rear seat. The space in Tiago is equal to the space of Celerio. Seats are well cushioned and are comfortable for long trips.
Features- Tiago offers the most number of Features in the segment including 2 Airbags, ABS, EBD, Corner stability control, Electrically adjustable ORVM'S, Rear parking sensors, cooled glove box, Connectnext Infotainment system from Harman with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters, Keyless Entry, 4 Door power Window, Speed sensing door locks and
6 way adjustable Drivers Seat. The infotainment system of the Tiago is a gem and the sound quality offered is better that cars even of a segment above.
Performance- For Daily city Driving this is a fun to drive car. It's a nice motor to cruise with on the highways as well.
Not so interesting thing is the diesel motor. It's good in the city but on the highways you may feel that lack of power when have to make those quick overtakes.
Mileage-*TIAGO Petrol- 14-15 Kmpl in the city and 18-20 Kmpl on the highway.
What I Didn't like- Little under powered diesel Engine
Conclusion- If you are looking for an Entry level hatchback in 5 Lakh Rupee Budget then Tiago is the best product you'll find in the market. It looks Good, Interior feels premium in the segment, it drives nicely and it offers a long list of features. So If your budget is 5 Lakhs then walk into a Tata motors Dealership and Drive a Tiago out.
