Hi..I am an Indian doctor and has worked in India and overseas I totally agree and believe that low cost is not low quality and thankful to masses who are appreciating the service by doctors. Our Healthcare system in India is in growing stage but medical education has surpassed its quality if you consider the quality of doctors produced in India.Hospital staff and facilities is the responsibility of hospital management and needless to say works in co operation with state's help.In short with whatever facilities we have there , we are producing surprising outcome , as per studies ongoing.
Well there are always shortfalls but everybody is working towards in making things better. As I am close to doctors I have seen they have been working without so called working hours sometimes they may not get good sleep for days together , needless to say pay for doctors is not attractive .They work to get trained and it becomes their habit to do something good .Since patients in India gives due respect to doctors and are thankful for their efforts , Job satisfaction for doctors is good.
That motivates them to stay in Public hospital even though less pay , bad working hours , poor accommodation.I am sure next decade we will be counted as one of the best institutes in world .
Cheers
