I bought a scond hand model of the Tata Indigo Diesel variant which was sparingly used. Its a 2009 model and it had driven less than 50000 km.
I literally wasted 3.5 lac rupees on this car.
Coming strainght to the point guys, when I drove this car for about a month I realised that the performance of this car is so bad that it makes no sense owning it. It is very sluggish in pick up. The average I got out of it was max 11 kmpl in Mumbai city and with AC on, just forget it!
The car's engine and gear assembly is so noisy that I could hear the engine rattle even sitting inside the car. The gear shift is very hard and that too makes a strange sound every time shifting up a gear.
The car's comfort is pointless when you hear that nois. This car does not have the power!
Another thing is that it needs frequent trips to the service centre. And I ended up spending 5-7000 every 3-4 months. The main culprits being the clutch plate and electricals.
The car is not very stable at high speeds. It will wobble when you cut a turn above 80kmph.
The car does not even fetch a decent resale value due to this poor image in the market.
I will not recommnd you this Tata Indigo Diesel at all!
Better opt for a petrol variant or go for a Maruti Suzuki.
