TATA...A name to reckon with..but off late it is a bit too late for the ONE lakh car. All those people who dreamt of a car settled for maruti 800 or better a classic ALTO.I also got tired of waiting for the ONE lakh car. Looks like Mr.Ratan Tata has over looked the booming middle class in India which is ready to invest given a product WORTH investing in terms of ECONOMIC ROI.
Question : What will I do with a 600CC car in 2008????I am sure that guys at TATA have totally lost it!!!!Look at the Maruti 800 and ALTO..I must totally commend MARUTHI for not comiting at anything like the ONE Lakh car but making a 2 Lakh car a reality.Take a look at SWIFT.
Man!!!The difference between TATA and MARUTHI in this case is TATA is going back to 1947 and Maruthi is heading to 2047!!!My suggestion to TATA..I mean my HUMBLE suggestion is that please stop dreaming about the average Indian driving a ONE Lakh car as the average Indian has the capacity to invest two lakhs and get more and want more!!!My Humble suggestion to Maruti is please design a SWIFT with an 800cc engine...and price it about Low End 250000 - High End 300000..Now that will be a total winner!!!!!
