BAD CAR. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I want to share the quality problems I have faced with my Tata Indica within the first year itself. The car was purchased from BU Bhandari on 25th June 2007 (Chasis number 600621FSZP86931). Problems faced under .




  1. The first day after I drove the car out of the showroom I noticed that the engine light was continuously ON and the speedometer and odometer were not funtioning. This was fixed within 1 or 2 days by BU bhandari.




  2. The wiper used to stop working. This issue continued for atleast 2 months or so during which I had to go to BUB for atleast 7-8 times before the problem was identified and fixed. They had to involve Tata (I am told) and it was a manufacturing defect. Very frustrating experience.




  3. Once while driving on the Mumbai - Pune expressway the accelerator got stuck and the car kept accelerating at high speed. I pulled alongside and had to open the bonnet and release the cable. This was a dangerous life threatening situation. The problem was reported to BUB and they say they have fixed it.




  4. Now the latest problem (which has really ended my patience). There is leakage somewhere and rain water comes inside the car. The water collects in a puddle (almost an inch deep puddle) on the floor of the car. PLEASE SEE PICTURE ATTACHED WITH THIS REVIEW. For this complaint I have gone to Banai forĀ 6 times. EVEN TATA GUYS ARE INVOLVED. PROBLEM PERSISTS. NO SOLUTION SO FAR.






Due to the above issues the car has been cumulatively in the garage for close to 1.5 months in the first year. I have had lot of inconvenience travelling to work and also spent a lot of money. This quality is certainly not expected from a new car and that too with a Tata stamp. I have no confidence in the car anymore on what will go wrong next. Everyone had advised me against buying a Tata car, but I did not listen to them putting my Trust in the Tata name. I feel really let down as a customer. I will never touch a Tata car again nor will I advise anyone who asks me for an opinion. TALKING TO TATA GUYS HAS NOT MADE ANY DIFFERENCE. THEY DONT EVEN ANSWER EMAILS.
