I bought this beautiful and strong looking made in India car to uplift my patriotic feelings which were weakend and suppressed for years together staying abroad in countries like Middle east and USA.
In Pune 2005 Oct I bought this from B U Bhandari.
very soon I realized the problem of vague fuel indicator and a very bad fuel efficiency, to overcome that I got fitted Gas kit, which gave me some relief.
The problems I faced are
1) the weak design of tyre rims which generally bends on speed breakers in Pune, even at very low speed.
2) I drive first 4-5 km on petrol before switching to gas. to keep the petrol system intact.
even then It spoiled the petrol injection system and Now the car runs OK on gas but with petrol 1st and 2nd gear car won't take off
3) The so called MPFI is another bad component, in my last service I am told to replace ECM for Rs. 15000/- without any warantee or guarantee on it.
I have no intention of blaming the TATA quality, because these may be stray examples but if had it happened with US or JAPANese car maker, I am sure that company would have politely considered these feedbacks from customers like us to improve the Indegenius design of this car, unfortunately when TATA are busy making common mans car they have not done the exercise of developement in these V2 models, and now they are indirectly asking us to sell these V2s and buy VISTA with FIAT engine.
