It is my humble request to everyone not to buy Tata Solar. One of the worst products available in the market. Even the local low quality product is much better than this product. Moreover, the service is worst than the product. I have bought 100L Zync model 4 years ago for a price of 28k. The tank started leaking within 15 months. When I contacted Tata they said we cannot do anything as the warranty is only for 12 months. So I had to escalate this with the dealer and fought for couple of months and then they agreed to replace the tank. They took 3 months again to replace the tank (since they are replacing out of warranty they will take their own time, Exactly the same update I got from the dealer). After replacing with a new tank (not sure if it is a new one or the old one was serviced and replaced) again the tank started leaking in around 16 months of usage. So this time I don't have a choice so I have decided to replace the tank by paying money. When I contacted the dealer he quoted a whooping 20k for the replacement of just the tank. He has added all the possible charges (transport, fitting charge, removing charge, tax, etc). Then I needed to escalate the same to Tata care. After that some one from Tata spoke to me saying they will get a better solution and a reduced price.
They agreed to supply a plastic tank (it is a new one) for 10k. After that so many calls I have tried to the dealer to install the tank, but every time I was given a new date, for more than 3 months. Finally the day arrived and the dealer called me saying now we cannot supply to the agreed price due to subsidy being stopped so I have to pay 2k extra. As I don't have any other option, I have agreed for the new price. After few days the dealer sent the technician with the tank. He came and checked the existing tank. Then he gave another shock. The existing tank was having a lengthy air vent pipe which cannot be fit on a plastic tank, so I have to buy a ball air vent which costs around 3k. So I have to pay 15k to replace the tank. Moreover, he doesn't have that in stock so again I need to wait and not sure how many months. Now I have decided to go for a local one which is available for a cheaper price and a better warranty. It is all my bad personal experience and not writing anything exaggerated.
