I normally used brewed coffee but like to keep a jar of instant around for those last minute cups I need before work and for when I have company. Taster’s Choice has a very unique flavor. The only difference I have been able to figure is that it is made with Arabica beans.

I use about a rounded teaspoon per cup. I prefer to microwave my cup of water and add the coffee when it is boiling.

Tasters Choice provides a variety of flavors and offers some of them in decaffeinated. I have listed the flavors in the order that I like them and provided the rationale as to why:

1. Hazelnut is my number one choice of all the coffees offered by Taster’s Choice. The flavoring is subtle yet strong enough that you know it is there and can savor the taste.

2. Vanilla rates as second best. Had I not tried the Hazelnut, this could easily have been my favorite choice. I like my coffee black and normally prefer fairly strong flavors. This one meets both criteria but does not quite hold up taste and aroma-wise to the Hazelnut.

3. The Gourmet Roast is a fairly deep, dark brew. It has a stronger flavor than the regular and is for serious coffee drinkers!

4. Chocolate is yucky! Stay away you have been warned. This is the only coffee I have ever requested my money back for – it was that bad. The aftertaste it leaves will linger for a long time and it is not pleasant. Whatever they use in the making of this should definitely not be an ingredient!

Of the instant flavors I have tried, this one seems to have a better, smoother flavor and works as my morning wake up cup when I don’t have time to brew a pot of my French Roast Maxwell House!
